November working bee

Thanks to all those workers and fellow garden lovers who came to the november working bee.  We were desperately short of compost and managed to make 2 Berkerley cakes which will be ready to put around the garden beds in a few weeks – in time for the hotter months.  We also dug out some huge clumps of the native grasses bordering the embankment, broke them up and replanted them higher on the embankment where they can help hold it together – leaving a rich space for another garden bed at the bottom of the slope where the nutrients gather…a lovely job to do next working bee.
