Children’s (and interested adults) paper pot making workshop

We will be making little paper pots to grow seedlings during the next Sandhills Community Garden Sunday working bee 🙂

It is a fun way for kids to learn the basic concept of plant growing, as well as a recycling and colouring with plants.
Instead of just using newspaper, we will recycle paper and decorate the pots by painting them with colours from plants like beetroot (magenta), onion skins (amber), spinach (light green), strawberries (pink) and so on.

Seeds will be sowed into the paper pot. They will be sold to fundraise for the garden or else transplanted directly in to the garden when the seedlings are ready 🙂
